I would like to start a open thread with peoples stories of the smartest money decision they have made. I could be a solution or inspiration for others to read. I want to keep it to smart decisions because we all do enough stupid things with our money.
Come on lets hear those great stories

To start saving early and young and knowing that just because I can buy it/want it, I don't need to have it. It helps when you have a mom that's an accountant that opens a savings account for you. But from my first job in high school through til today (I'm 32), I keep putting as much as I can in the bank - maximizing 401k matches, living on a budget, investing or having other people investing. All those little opportunities compound year over year, so I'm now able to spend the past year+ of my life leaving work and pursuing what I love while dipping minimally into my savings.
Hi Jen,
Thats great to hear thanks for sharing. Having a plan and sticking to it is hard but if you do it allows you to do things like that.
Sounds like your on the fast track to early retirement.
