One way to make extra money is to write for the internet to create a top earning blog. Write articles about things people are searching for and you have the potential to make a lot of extra money like these bloggers. There are more than 70 million blogs online. Yes 70 million. Don’t let that number scare you. I am sure a good majority of these blogs are “dead blogs”, blogs that are no longer being updated or posted to. I have about 5 blogs in this category. The good news is there are about 168 million users of the internet.

Making money with a blog is a process. It sounds easy to do. Set up a free blog and post to it people will read what you post and you make money. To be honest it is as simple as that. The harder part is to get enough readers to make money. According to Technorati, they estimate that if you can get 100,000 unique visitors to your blog a month you will make about $75,000/yr. Define your goals if you are setting up a blog to make money. If you think your going to replace your full time income, that’s fine just know it will take time and a lot of work. More than half the Blogs out there are not making any money at all. The other extreme is a blog like Boing Boing makes over 1 million dollars a year.

A site like hubpages.com or Xomba.com is great because they already have a high ranking with the search engines. Writing an in demand article on these sites will be seen by more eyes than if you started a blog and posted the same article there. If you have 10 different well written articles on a site like Hub pages it’s almost like having 10 blogs online. To break down the 100,000 visitors in the above paragraph to get 75k/yr, if you have 100 hub pages that get 1000 views a month, that might get it done. There are 365 days in a year, can you write one well researched article a day? Can you see where I am going with this line of thinking? The drawback is your limited to amount of ways you can make money from the pages. These are just two sites. Join as many ad sharing revenue sharing sites as possible. Start your own blog and post everyday if possible.

SVB now earns between $3,000 and $5,000 a month and estimates she works on her blog about 40 hours a week. She says, "I gave up my full-time job to see if I can pursue this as a viable way to make money. How Valuable Is Your Time, Can You Increase It

How valuable is your time. The more I work the more I feel I am not placing the correct value on my time and knowledge. Judging from all the work from home ads that are online now, I am not the only one who feels this way. I know you can’t just stop working and instantly make your own money and enough to support yourself. However, you have to start to make that shift, start the transition. I am changing my mindset to think more about how I can use my time and mind to start to create my own income and increase the value of my time. This is the first and hardest step. If you can find a system or skill you have and start to make money from it, then you should be able to find a way to grow that money.

The more I sit at work I realize that I really am wasting my time. So I am motivated to change. My work day in the short term will be much longer because now as well as having to do the rat race thing, I must use all my spare time to find a system to transition to. I have started a few things. One of the easier things to do is write articles. There are more than a few websites that will let you post articles and shares the ad revenue these article s create. You can also earn money from the page views. The good thing about these sites are they already have huge traffic. The articles you create are seen by more than just visitors to the site. For example articles you write and post on Xomba.com, hubpages.com and ehow.com are picked up by all the search engines. If you write an original article on a highly searched topic and use good keywords, the better the chance that that article will earn money. There are also “how to” sites where if you can turn that article into a how to article you can post it and earn money there as well. I would recommend that if you are going to write articles to also stat a blog. Post your articles to your blog and build content.

The tough thing about blogs is getting traffic. So you can have great blog on a nice topic but no traffic. The key to getting that traffic is content. Content takes time to build. Blogging has been around for years. Bloggers that have been at it for years have blogs that rank high in search engines. People searching for information that you might have on your blog will see it and read. When posting articles on other sites, always include a link back to your blog to get readership and build page rank.

Time is money and if your spending a majority of it being paid less than what you believe its worth, then it’s time to change your thinking.

Think about what knowledge and skills you have. Look around you will always find someone who is taking that knowledge and maximizing the dollar they are getting for that knowledge. Do you know how to fix cars, even if its just brakes be a brake job expert. Can you do a brake job in 45mins and get paid $60.00 for it. Are you currently making more than $60/hr if not there is a transition. I use this example as a way to show you how you need to start thinking. Your transition can be anything that you feel you can monetize to eventually earn more that you are currently making.

How to find your transition.

You may not find your transition in one day; it may take a week a month or more. The more time you spend at it the quicker you will find one. Make a list. Think of things you feel you have superior knowledge in. What do people always come to you for? What do you really like to do? Think of something you would and are doing for free that others are paid to do. Once you have a list of these things start to find real life examples of someone that is doing it and making a living from it. Research what it would take to do the same thing. Make an action plan to set the wheels in motion.

I feel that you have to be really motivated to make a real transition. I say this because unless you get really lucky it will take time to make a full transition. It may take years. The first 6 months or so will be hard work. It might be easier to just stick to what you’re doing. You may not see any fruits of your labor at first. You cannot get discouraged. Find ways to stay motivated. That could be reading stories of others who have made it rags to riches stories, write meditate, something to get you going again. Making your first dollar will keep you going regardless of how small. Knowing you just created this money from nothing but some work on your part is a great feeling.

My Google Treasure Chest Review. Avoid This System

The Latest work from home, make money online, post links and make money phenomenon online right now is Google Treasure Chest. My curiosity got the best of me and I had to order. Now I am smart enough to read the terms of service when doing these offers. I recently had a blog entry See Post Here about just that thing. Reading the TOS now will save you headaches in the future. Sending for this CD is what actually made me think to do a post about it cause I feel most do not read them. Ordering the CD will automatically enroll you in the program so be careful. If You do order this CD be sure to use a pre-paid Credit Card, or have a way to stop the charge. I just called my bank a couple of days after I ordered it and had them deactivate the card and send me a replacement. Also you will not receive an email from them after you order, so don't look for one

Here is what I thought when my CD showed up

Ok so I got my post links to Google CD in the mail. Lets see if I can get paid in 48-72 hours like they claim. I was curious but not excited. I popped in the CD at first I thought whoa look at all this stuff. I then realized that all these files on this CD are basically useless. The CD is full of old eBooks, Software, and Web Site templates anywhere from 2001-2005 to which you have the resell rights to. I supposed if you have built a website before you can create a bunch of sites and upload these niches and try and get some sales. I would guess that from the dates of these ebooks and websites and the information on them, that you won’t get many sales. Just about all of these books and sites have outdated information. For the eBooks teaching you the use of keywords for example, still make reference to Overture.com. Overture was acquired by Yahoo in 2003. This gives you some idea to the age of the resources on the disk.

What I believe this CD to be

This CD is full of old websites, download able software, and ebooks that are outdated and obsolete. I believe this is done in an attempt to get you to miss the 7 day cancellation period. I spent 2 full days going over the material on the CD. There are still files I have not looked at yet. The disk does get you thinking about the possibility that you can make money with some files. You can set up some simple low investment sites and see how it goes. In doing so unless your on top of things you may forget to cancel. I believe this is the ultimate goal of the CD. Do a Google search on Google Treasure Chest and at the top of the page is complaints from people being charged the $70.00

This CD is a bait and switch to get you to enroll in the Google Treasure Chest Program.

GTC is a $70.00 per month program. This program has no affiliation to Google what so ever. You can actually go to googletreasurechest.com and sign up from there. This is probably not what they want as It is probably harder to conceal the fact that it is a monthly fee based program.

For $2.95 The CD is worth getting . The reason is you will definitely pick up some new tricks or learn something you did not know before. It also show you just how the sales pages or sales pitch never match the information you receive. I plan to use the ebooks to get snippets of information to create articles to promote. With all the ebooks I can create hundreds of articles. You may find some other use for the files on the disk.

As with most make money on the Internet systems the claims are usually to good to be true. The Posting links to Google is just another hyped claim with no substance.

The goal of these internet marketers now is no longer to get you to buy the onetime product like an ebook, it is to get the residual income. They want to bill you month after month. They lure you in with a free offer to learn an old super saturated system like Google Adsense and eBay. They get your Credit card number up front by charging you for shipping. Use every trick possible to hide the cost from you. Then give you 7 days to cancel and hope you forget so they can bill you again.

What I am Currently Doing To make Money On Line

I have been reading about making money on-line for about 3 years now. I have started and tried many different things. I have spent money on money making software, CD’s DVD’s and eBooks. I have read article after article. I tried taking surveys and started blogs. The problem is I didn’t make any money. So I never stayed with any system or program for very long. I did feel like in most cases I was close to something but couldn’t figure out what I was missing. As time went by I realized that there are no secrets to making money on-line. There is no magic software that is going to get you rich quick. There are systems but you don’t need to pay to find out how to work them. Unless you buy a book to read, just research what it is you want information on.

I now feel like I am starting to get it. My brain is full of things that can be done to get some extra money on-line. I am going to let you know what I am doing to make money. I am now starting to see some income so it can be done. I am no Internet guru or marketing genius. I ‘m an average guy with common sense.

Here are some of the ways I am making extra money on-line.

Blog
I have started many blogs in my day. It’s a good thing they are free to start or I would be broke right now. I think I started my first blog back in Jan 07 or something like that. Today I always wonder to myself if I would have kept up with that blog how it would be doing today in terms of hits, loyal visitors, and earning money. I think the key to this (which I know now) is start a blog if you have a subject or area that you have a real interest in. Not a passing fancy but a true interest. If not blogging will feel like a job, one you don’t want. Do not start a blog for the sole purpose of making money. Start a blog to share knowledge about something you truly enjoy. Over time you will come to like blogging, especially after you get comments from readers who enjoyed what you wrote.

I started blogging with Blogger I found it very easy to use. I did try using WordPress but found it difficult to customize. I must say now that WordPress is not hard to use. It just takes a little longer to figure out. Starting with either one of these free platforms will work fine. Regardless of which one you use, I always recommend when starting a blog to get your own domain name for it. With Wordpress I do recommend getting a hosting account because you can customize WordPress to look like a website if you want. Not necessarily with Blogger.

Once your blog is set up you have to promote it. Submit it to all the search engines. If you are a person who has a lot of friends, like on Facebook or some other social network, great. Let them all know about your blog, easy beginner traffic. They will probably tell their friends about it, word of mouth promotion. Other ways to promote it is through article marketing. Whenever you post to your blog, submit your article to free article directories like eZinearticles, Article Dashboard, and GoAricles are a few. Do a google search on article directories to get more. Submit your articles to blog carnivals. Doing this will help you get backlinks for your blog. It will build you search engine ranking thus bringing traffic to your site.

Monetize your blog. Sign up for a google adsense account and display the ads on your blog. Sign up with affiliate sites like Commission Junction and Google’s affiliate program. Get ads from advertisers who have products and services that are relative to your blog topic. Put the ads on your site or write articles reviewing the products.

Blogging by itself may be one of the slowest ways to make money on line because you have to get traffic. Unless you’re an expert at writing SEO articles and have other expertise at getting your site ranked it will take time to get enough traffic to make any real money. Read as much as you can about SEO.

Another way to start to earn money is with ad revenue sharing sites. These sites are free to join. I am a member of Xomba.com, http://www.hubpages.com/ and http://www.ehow.com/. These are good sites to join while you wait for your blog to build traffic. These sites work almost like blogs, except with many different authors. You write an article post it on these sites for free. Since these are established sites get tons of traffic, the chances of your articles being read is like 100%. The more it is read the more you can make. With Xomba there are Goolge adsense ads on your article page they split the revenue 50/50 with you. Hub Pages works the same way. The differences being that you put in your adsense account number and get all that revenue. You can also add your affiliate link for Amazon and Kontera so sign up with those sites as well. Kontera.com works like adsense they run ads on your page and pay you when someone clicks on it. With Amazon sign up for the http://www.affiliate-program.amazon.com/ and display products on the page related to your article. With eHow you write how to articles for the site and its readers. You earn money when the article is read. The more hits to your article the more you make. eHow does not explain how they determine how much they pay you but they will pay you. Like I said each of these sites get thousands of hits a day so one good article can earn good money. You can submit the articles you already posted to your blog to all these sites so one well written blog article can go a long way

Another system I use is and this is like a two in one system is I signed up for a free search engine. 30% of the people that use the web are searching for somebody whether it is a lost relative, searching for old friends or classmates, looking for someone who owes money, someone doing a background check on a potential hire or renter. Someone is always looking for someone.

I signed up withTissa Godavitarne to get a free search engine. Tissa Godavitarne is a highly successful Internet marketer. Do a Google search on him. This is a system I tried a while ago. Tissa promises to advertise it for you for free which he does if you complete the 3 steps he has outlined. But you also need to promote it as well. Tissa is a very honest Internet marketer. He also offers really good support and training. When you joined you are not billed for 30 days. The cost of the program is 29.99 a month. When I tried it I did make money but not the $30 cost so I cancelled after the trial.
