Do People Still Buy Money Making eBooks

Back In December I had a post about making money with internet marketing and eBooks. I have decided to revisit it. The reason being is that I still see many ebooks out there trying to sell information about making money online that I am sure is not very useful. I'm in the process of trying to do some research if people still buy these types of ebooks and if they are having any success with them. I also plan to invest a very small amount on a couple to test them for myself.

The internet has changed the lives of millions of people around the world. This because of all the information is always available on any topic and is easy to find. Savvy internet marketers take advantage of this venue to try and sell us money making and many other types of information in ebook format. I'll assume that most of the information that internet marketers are trying to sell to you will be either mostly or completely useless. I'm sure there are internet gurus who are really willing to share their strategy with you, maybe even for free, but they are probably not many of them out there. You need to know how to separate the substance from hype when you are looking for a eBook especially if its about making money.

Learn what to look for when you are looking for an ebook.

1. Don’t believe the hype
The first thing that you will notice with ebooks is that they will all start with exagerated money making claims to get you interested. You should be skeptical of these claims and start to use common sense and ask yourself common sense questions. Really good internet marketers have become very good at catering your desperation and your want to believe. Don’t believe the hype or everything you read. If it sounds to good to be true....guess what it probably is
2. Free Does Not Mean No Cost
Another marketing strategy is to give away information, as long as you enter your email address. The reason they are giving free information is because it is outdated and useless. It’s usually an eBook that they used to make money from but no longer do. Maybe the system is obsolete. It’s passed on to you for your email address so they can flood your inbox with new offers. They may even sell these email address. I always recommend having a separate email address just for situations like this. That way the email you use everyday does not get filled with junk.
3. Use the money back guarantee
This is there because I would think 99% of the people who order eBooks never return them for their money back. Marketers know this which is why they have no problem offering them. If you feel you ordered a eBook that is not helpful, take advantage of the money back offer and get your money back. Be sure to carefully read the terms
4. The same information is probably online for free
Use google and do a search of the features or topics of the ebook that are of interest to you. It may not all be in the same place or on the same website, but if you search hard enough you will be able to piece together enough information to get you the knowledge you need. One suggestion is to use blog carnivals. A blog carnival is a collection of articles from different blogs and websites on a particular topic. I have some on this site. To find one on any subject visit http://blogcarnival.com/bc/. There you will find tons of free information
5. Do a Google search for information on the author or company selling the eBook
Look for the name of the eBook author and do a simple search for him or her on google. You will get pages of un-bias information to use in your decision making. The more information that comes up, the longer it's been out there on-line. If not much information comes up, it is probably a new eBook on the market. It may be wise to wait until others finds out about it instead of being the first one to buy. Doing some research or due diligence is the smartest and easiest way to avoid being ripped off.
